HUARAZ - ADVENTURE TOURISM

Not only Huaylas Valley, but all Peru offers opportunities for adventure tourism through its various regions and ecosystems. The traveler will explore a great variety of landsapes, climate, flora and fauna. With adequate equipment, various activies are possible, such as: trekking, ice climbing, canoeing, horse riding, as well as exploration of arqueology and botanics. The main purpose of the activities we propose is to learn ro respect nature, to awaken the curiosity and the desire to learn about nature and the surrounding landscape. Treeking in the Andes is also a cultural experience. The traveler meets Andean communities up to 4,000m, following old Inca roads that connect all thre regions. Camping under the stars in the Andes is a fascinating experience, one can observe the Southern cross and other constellations such as Centaurus, Capricorn among others.

Unfortunately, trails in the Andes are not well markes, and for this we suggest using our services “ENRIQUE EXPEDITION TOURS”, to ensure safety, and to be able to enjoy the views of the beautiful Cordillera Blanca. We's like to remind you a few considerations. During the treks it is forbidden to pick any wild flowers, or take any fauna. Trash (eg plastic, metal cans) will be carried back to the town by all trekkers. Guides and porters from our agency will dig pits for bathrooms, and will cover it after camping is finished. We chose flat surfaces for camping, usually next to a water source. We will also watch for your gear, that will be safely guarded inside the dining tent.

• Pukaventana
  A short trek of 6 km South, to the section of Bellavista from the cross above Huaraz (3,350m) leads to a point that offers panoramic views of the valleys and summits, as well as a panoramic view of Huaraz.
• Huaraz - Willkawain - Monterrey - Huaraz
  A trek of 7 km to NE of Huaraz, leads to the arqueologic ruins of Willkawain, that can be visited in about 2 hours from the main square. The return is through the thermal waters at Monterrey, and from there by road to Huaraz. The circuit can include rock climbing and other sports in Monterrey.
• Honkopampa (2 days)
  Day 1: This old route starts at Shimpi. After a typical breakfast, we enter the watershed of Lucma River and continue to Honkopampa, where we set camp next to Aquilpo Valley. At night we organize a ritual and offerings to Pachamama (Mother Earth).
  DÍA 02: we start from camp to the villages of Honqokotu and Pampamaca, known for their artisans. We then return through San Miguel de Aco to Tarica, where we end the circuit with a typical lunch, and return to Huaraz.
